The last couple of weeks have seen relatively little writing. In fact, I more or less completely removed my foot from the gas, partly because I really needed to de-pressurise, and partly because I bought Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and a new game always involves unhealthy obsession and an enjoyable withdrawal from reality. I’ve still done a bit though, developing a new map so that the part of the world The Blackswords is taking place in can have a bit of context, and maintaining a trickle of music reviews. It’s the music reviews that I need to focus on in the immediate future, because people keep sending me excellent music, and I have a huge backlog of stuff to write about now, some of which has been in the queue for over three months… Most of what’s arrived lately has come as physical releases, which means it gets to jump the queue, so the languishers will have to languish a little longer, but I’m going to crank out the reviews at a rate of knots for a couple of weeks…
